I have received an invoice from Dotster/RegisterAPI. Do I have to pay it?

You will most possibly have to pay it. If the registrar of your domain is Dotster/RegisterAPI, the annual fee is invoiced by them. You can look up the registrar of your domain by logging in at www.domainnameshop.com with your username and password and click on the domain in question or use WHOIS.

If the expiry date is more than two weeks away, you may choose to change registrar from Dotster to Domainnameshop. The annual fee is then to be invoiced by us. The price is EUR €13.99, and you can choose method of payment and currency. If so, log in at www.domainnameshop.com with your username and password, click on the domain in question and then "Transfer to DotRegistrar" to the right on the page.

If your domain is recently transferred away from Dotster, you may experience that Dotster is still invoicing you. You can ignore these payment notifications. If you have checked via our web pages or via WHOIS that the domain is transferred away from Dotster, you can safely ignore payment reminders from Dotster.
